Council architects wanted the new shelters to reference some nearby existing heritage listed shelters which were constructed from basalt.
Wollongong City Council contracted Precinct Street and Park to deliver the entire project (7 new shelters) – construction of the new slabs, stone clad plinths & walls, furniture, barbecues, manufacture and build of the new shelters and associated earthworks.
